Long's Notes
Typical Southern French blend with dominant spicy Syrah and juicy full grenache. This wine offers a ripe nose of red fruits, with delicious mocha herbs and spices. The palate is mellow with intense berry flavourw and characteristic rosemary, thyme and floral notes. A real taste of the garrigue.
Producer's Notes
n de Pays d’Oc is a large wine area, encompassing many different vineyards of southern France; these “vin pays” areas are broad, and less specific in their winemaking regulations, allowing winemakers a freedom to experiment with different grapes, styles, and winemaking techniques. Laurent Miquel has had a life-time passion for blending and creating interesting wine - his Syrah-Grenache is a slam-dunk; the former provides structure and spice, while the later brings fruit aromas and roundness. The Père et Fils is full and soft, with light spice notes embellishing notes of blackberry and dark raspberry.
